What sets Berkeley founders apart is their need to solve the world's biggest problems. They don’t start companies because it's the cool thing to do, they start companies because they want to change the world for the better. The ability to have a front row seat to these incredible journeys makes this the best job in the world.
Bio

While a student at UC Berkeley, David was fully focused on supporting the growing entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus. He invested in the best and brightest students through Dorm Room Fund, and grew the student community as a part of Kairos.

After graduating, David took the leap full time into the venture capital world, starting at Global Founders Capital, where he invested across stages and geographies. He then honed in on supporting founders at the earliest stages during his 5 years at Signia Venture Partners.

Outside of his day job, David continues to build community and support the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors. He is the current head of NextGen Partners, the oldest and largest organization of pre-partner level investors in the country.

On weekends, he can be found rooting on his Cal Bear Football team or endlessly chasing a white golf ball around the Bay Area.
